A Moment of Glory, A Memory for Life: Talk of the Town – Season 3
Organised by our Rotary Club of Madras South in association with the Interact Club of Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School, on 24 October 2026, the elocution contest offered young minds a platform to express their ideas, challenge perspectives and speak with conviction.

Competing on thought-provoking topics, including My Parents, My Treasure, AI and the Future I See, and Social Media Restrictions on Children, the participants demonstrated the power of words and the courage to speak their minds.
The highlight of the occasion was the first-prize winner (pictured above) signing the Honour Book—a cherished tradition that marked the achievement and preserved it for posterity. In the presence of dignitaries, the young winner’s signature became a lasting symbol of dedication, confidence and well-earned success. District Governor Suresh Jain presented the trophies to winner and also spoke passionately about the role of youth in nation-building, inspiring the young minds become responsible citizens and active contributors to the country's future.
Beyond the certificates and trophies, the event celebrated something far more meaningful: the ability of young people to think independently, articulate their views and inspire others.

Talk of the Town – Season 3 was not just a contest to find the best speaker; it was a celebration of young voices ready to shape the future.
