Prof. Dr. V Kamakoti

Director, IIT, Madras

2022: Prof. Dr. V Kamakoti received the first PDG Ramakrishna Raja Memorial Award for Excellence, consisting of a citation and a special memento. In the year 2022, Prof. Kamakoti recevied the award in recognition of his contribution as a scientist - to progress in computer architecture, information security, artificial intelligence, technology eduction, organic farming and to the promotion of national self-reliance.

India Sudar

Educational & Charitable Trust

2023: In a span of 19 years, India Sudar has spread their wings to 12 Indian states, and have exeucted 4498 education projects, benefitting 671,549 students at an expense of Rs.8.13 crores. In 2023, India Sudar was presented the second Ramakrishna Raja Memorial Award for Excellence in recognition of their phenomenal contribution to the field of educating underprivileged across India.

Aspire Foundation

Education for the Rural Poor

2024: Aspire Foundation, conceived with the simple objective of supporting poor rural students to complete their school education has today grown in strength to 600 students spread across various districts of Tamil Nadu. In recognition of their consistent contribution to the field of educating rural children from underprivileged families, in 2024, the 3rd Ramakrishna Raja Memorial Award for Excellence was conferred on Aspire Foundation.

Involve

Learning Solutions Foundation

2025: Founded in 2015 by a group of young IITians and their friends, Involve Learning Solutions Foundation set out to empower today’s youth through peer-based learning, nurturing them into the leaders of tomorrow. Their work has impacted over 2 lakh students and around 2,000 teachers across India. The Ramakrishna Raja Memorial Award for 2025 was fittingly conferred upon them, as they embody the values and spirit that our beloved PDG Raja stood for.
