A ride for peace

Updated: Mar 20

Rtn. Nikhilesh Upadhyaya, a vibrant leader from the Rotary Club of Asansol, RID 3240 West Bengal, is embarking on a road mission to advocate for global peace. He is journeying on his BMW R1250 G3 motorcycle, visiting 9 cities over 12 days, and will be stopping to participate in The South Asia International Peace Conference (SAIPC) 2025, hosted by Rotary District 3192, in Bengaluru on March 22 and 23, 2025.

His journey includes stops in Bhubaneshwar, Vishakapatnam, Chennai, Puducherry, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Bilaspur, Ranchi, and returns to Asansol. During his stopover in Chennai on March 18, 2025, our Past President Rtn. A Sridharan welcomed him at his home and arranged a gathering with other Club members. Approximately 10 members and their families engaged with Nikhilesh.

From Rotary, motorbikes, road trips, motoring tips, and Nikhilesh's experiences, the evening was a delightful mix of friendship and camaraderie. True to the organisation's objectives, when Rotarians come together, there's always an abundance of goodwill and mutual care. This gathering was no exception.
