Ok Kanmani

If you thought this blog post was a review of the popular Tamil movie ‘Ok Kanmani’, you are in for a surprise.

Instead it’s about something more inspiring - a life changing initiative that restores eyesight to those in need.

Yes, ’Kanmani’ is the name of our Club’s flagship community service project dedicated to providing surgical treatment for individuals affected by retinal disorders. The project name was thoughtfully chosen by our Past President Bina Boaz, who also oversees its outcomes. To date, Kanmani has transformed the lives of close to 100 individuals by restoring their eyesight, in partnership with VHS, Chennai. In the photo above, a beneficiary of our project ‘Kanmani’ gets an eye test after their successful surgery.
