Pongal celebrated with fanfare

On Sunday, 5th January, Rina’s Place on ECR was filled with joy as the Southerners family came together to celebrate Pongal.

Director Elumperiyar and his spouse Ann Chitra had planned a fun-packed day with traditional games like Pattimandram, Uriyadi, and Lemon-and-Spoon races. Laughter echoed throughout as everyone, young and old, took part with great enthusiasm.

The highlight of the day was the sumptuous lunch, thoughtfully arranged by our President Narayanan. It was a true feast, showcasing the authentic flavors of Pongal. The celebration not only filled our hearts with happiness but also gave us a chance to reconnect with the rich culture and heritage of our beloved festival. It was a memorable day, bringing the entire community closer together.
